Verification of Marks for CA CPT 2017
Candidates
who have doubts related to the calculation of marks can apply for verification
of answer sheets for CA CPT 2017. As per Chartered Accountants Regulations,
1988, candidates will need to apply for verification of marks along with the
requisite fee. Candidates can apply for CA CPT 2017 verification of marks
within a month after the declaration of the result of CA CPT 2017.
Candidates also need to remit an application fee of INR 200 through a Demand

CA CPT Cut off 2017
Candidates
who will appear for CA CPT 2017 on December 17 will need to obtain minimum
qualifying marks in order to qualify the entry-level examination of Chartered
Accountancy. The cutoff of CA CPT 2017 is determined by ICAI. The CA CPT 2017
cut off marks is applicable both section-wise and overall cutoff marks. In
order to qualify the CA CPT exam, candidates will need to secure both sectional

What after CPT Result 2017
·
As
per the rules of Chartered Accountants Regulation, 1988, candidates who will
quaify Common Proficiency Test will be eligible to be registered for
Intermediate (IPC) Course as next level of CA course.
·
There
are two groups in IPC course. Candidates will need to appear and pass in both
Group I and II of IPC course after completion of 9 month study period OR after undergoing 35 hours orientation
programme and 100 hours ITT before appearing for the first time in IPCC.
·
They
will need to join 3 years practical training after passing Group I of IPCE.
·
After
that comes CA Final Course stage OR candidates will have to appear and
qualify Group II of IPCE if not qualified earlier.
·
After
that, appear and qualify CA Final examination while serving last 6 months of
Training under an authorized CA.
·
Then
undergo 15 days course on General Management and Communication Skills.
·
Finally,
acquire membership of ICAI.

are the rules regarding verification of marks?
Answer: The
rules as per
39(4) of Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, for verification of marks are
as mentioned below -

Checking
that whether the answer sheet compilation is complete
·
Whether
any question or part thereof has remained unchecked / un-evaluated
·
Whether
there is any error in calculation of marks or total marks on the cover page
·
Whether
there is any discrepancy between the marks for each question and or/part
thereof and marks for each question indicated on the cover page of the answer
booklet
·
Whether
the handwriting of the candidate in all the answer books is the same.
Note: Re-evaluation of the answer sheet
is not permitted under the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
Question: How can
I apply for Verification of Marks for CA CPT Result? Do I need to apply for
different papers separately?
Answer: ICAI permits only one application
per roll number for verification of marks so candidates who want to get their
answer sheets verified need to apply only for one paper in their application of
CA CPT answer sheet verification. The application for CA CPT Marks verification
can be made either offline or in online mode. Candidates must apply for
verification of CA CPT marks within a month after result announcement.

Answer: Yes, In the case of change of
marks, the verification fee is refunded to candidates without any separate
application for refund of fee. Moreover, candidates if appeared for next exam
without any intimation about the status of verification of CPT marks, the next
exam will also be refunded to candidates.
The
application fee for CA CPT answer sheet verification is INR 200 only which
candidates can submit either in online mode or offline mode as mentioned below

Offline mode – The candidates applying for

Question: How can
I get CA CPT 2017 Result?
Answer: Candidates can obtain their CPT
result in three modes - through SMS on the registered mobile number, on
registered e-mail id and through their ICAI registered account.
Question: I
forgot my password for CPT registered account. How can I obtain my
password for CA CPT account?
Answer: In case candidates have forgotten
their password, they can obtain it by following the process mentioned below -
1.
Click
on blinking link of "Forgot password" on the login screen of CA CPT
2.
Candidates
need to enter their registration number and email id or mobile number
3.
Candidates
will receive an e-mail on their registered email id for password link
4.
In
case of further discrepancy, candidates can contact Help Desk by providing

Question: What
are the rules regarding verification of marks?
Answer: The
rules as per
39(4) of Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, for verification of marks are
as mentioned below -
·
Checking
that whether the answer sheet compilation is complete
·
Whether
any question or part thereof has remained unchecked / un-evaluated
·
Whether
there is any error in calculation of marks or total marks on the cover page
·
Whether
there is any discrepancy between the marks for each question and or/part
thereof and marks for each question indicated on the cover page of the answer
booklet
·
Whether
the handwriting of the candidate in all the answer books is the same.
Note: Re-evaluation of the answer sheet
is not permitted under the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
Question: How can
I apply for Verification of Marks for CA CPT Result? Do I need to apply for
different papers separately?
Answer: ICAI permits only one application
per roll number for verification of marks so candidates who want to get their
answer sheets verified need to apply only for one paper in their application of
CA CPT answer sheet verification. The application for CA CPT Marks verification
can be made either offline or in online mode. Candidates must apply for
verification of CA CPT marks within a month after result announcement.

for verification of marks as mentioned below –

Candidates
submitting the application in offline mode need to write it in his/her own
handwriting.
If
the candidate had selected for Hindi medium in the examination, his/her

post on the official address within a period of one month from the date of the

Question: How
much is the application fee of CPT marks verification? Is it refundable?
Answer: Yes, In the case of change of
marks, the verification fee is refunded to candidates without any separate
application for refund of fee. Moreover, candidates if appeared for next exam
without any intimation about the status of verification of CPT marks, the next
exam will also be refunded to candidates.
The
application fee for CA CPT answer sheet verification is INR 200 only which
candidates can submit either in online mode or offline mode as mentioned below
-
Offline mode – The candidates applying for
verification of CA CPT marks in offline mode can submit the application fee
through Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, The Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India” to be payable at New Delhi to be submitted on
the official address
Online mode – The candidates applying in online
mode for verification of marks can remit application fee via online payment
gateway using Debit Card/Credit Card.
Question: How
much time does it take for verification of CA CPT result 2017?
Answer: The verification of marks for CA
CPT generally is completed within six to eight weeks after the application is
received. In case, candidates do not get their verification status for least 15
days before the next examination then, candidates are advised to send an email
to examination department of ICAI on cpt_exam@icai.in.
The
status of verification of marks is available in online mode only irrespective
of candidates mode of application.
Question: What is
the use/outcome of CA CPT marks verification option?
Answer: ICAI releases below-mentioned
statuses for verification of marks for CA CPT 2017 -
a)
No change of marks for CA CPT
b)
Increase of marks, impacting CPT result or exemption in one or more paper(s)
